Autopsy...creepy!

Ok so Thursday I had the opportunity to see a live autopsy. And by opportunity I mean the directors of the school told us thats what we were doing that day so that is what we did. For those of you who think....cool just like CSI...um yeah not so much. I hadn't even been to a funeral since I was like 6 years old and although my husband owns a hearse...wierdo I know...I am completely freaked out by death. Immediately afterwards I was sick...swore I was never going to eat again and under no circumstances wanted to be alone with my thoughts. I just wanted to forget what I had just seen. It was traumatic for me but now as I think back I don't think many people get to say they have seen a live autopsy. Its pretty neat I guess. Definately not something I will ever forget.

I am glad that you are now able to talk about it, I was a little worried there for the first couple of days that you had been permanently damaged.

Nice pic Shamu. HA! Seriously..I want to know how many times you posted that photo..and then took it down, and then put it up again, and then took it down and then finally forgot whether it was really on there or not!!! So an autopsy? Really? Yeah, I'm with you on that. I don't do death. I don't do human anything really. I can watch a horse have its guts sliced open and its bowels cleansed in a crawfish pot and then stuffed back inside and sewn up. (thats how they do colic surgery in cajun country), but show me a human with a broken finger and I'm out the door. I don't do sick people. And I really don't do dead ones.
So... I didn't even know you were going to be a radiology tech. I didn't know anything about it. I knew you were an Indian, and then a Mexican, and then a Texican but that's about where I left off. Oh, and I LOVE your profile thing on the left hand side. The whole thing rocks. For what its worth I still think about my dog that I 'lost' three years ago. Not everyday, but at least a few times a week.

You are at Covenant for Radiology?! Our class is right next to yours! Im in my last year of nursing school. Good luck dealing with that creepy CSI stuff. You better deal with it now before you end up in therapy later. haha jk. But seriously, good luck with school!! Maybe I'll see you :)

Shay,
Major creepy! I am still traumatized by the kitten we accidently killed by dropping a board on it in the playhouse!!!! One minute I was hugging and kissing it, and the next second it was dead, and there was NO WAY I would touch it. . . Look, I'm so freaked out I'm writing in run-on sentences!
